Orange County Horizon Facility is a unit site within the larger Orange County Corrections complex. Its official capacity is 768 beds. The key local fact is that release does not occur through a separate Horizon Facility public exit. Orange County centralizes release processing at the Booking and Release Center, or BRC, and the county brochure says all jail-system releases leave through that center's public lobby.
A person may move from the Horizon Facility to the BRC for a community release after bond, pretrial release, time served, sentence completion, or another valid order.
